Honda Midwest Consolidation Center
Miles-McClellan Delivers Gold-Certified Excellence for American Honda
The Plan
Miles-McClellan served as the General Contractor for American Honda’s 550,000-square-foot Midwest Consolidation Center in Troy, Ohio. This complex project involved a 500,000-square-foot warehouse, a 50,000-square-foot office, and an 80,000-square-foot warehouse mezzanine. Our crews completed the facility in eight months — a full month ahead of schedule — and delivered the project at $25 million ($3 million under initial budget).
This project required various sustainability practices, including a 90% waste diversion and consistent, detailed documentation. Our crews navigated various complex hurdles, including extreme weather conditions and fast-paced schedules, by maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.
As a result, this project achieved LEED Gold Certification — a global certification that recognizies builds that meet green building standards. Our partners at American Honda Motor Company also commended our commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail. Vice President Anthony Piazza recommended Miles-McClellan for future contracts, including two projects in North Carolina.
This work at Honda demonstrates our ability to deliver complex, sustainable infrastructure.
