Chief Operating Officer – M-M Masonry

Mike Rodriguez runs Miles-McClellan’s subsidiary, M-M Masonry, LLC. Mike has grown M-M Masonry into one of Central Ohio’s largest masonry firms. His crew is known for exceptional craftsmanship and they take great pride in their work.

How did you get into construction?
My big brother was a bricklayer, and I wanted to be like my big bro so I went to work for a neighbor with a masonry business. I’ve been a mason ever since.

What was your first project?
My first project with Miles-McClellan was in 1991. I was a mason tender. It was miserably hot and I quit the first day, but I ended up going back and learned what real work was.

What is the best part of your job?
I like finding solutions to problems. I’m always trying to build a better mouse trap.

What do you like about Columbus?
The consistent weather! But really Columbus is the best market in the region. And Columbus is home.

What is the best compliment anyone could give you?
Any compliment regarding my character and integrity would be the best compliment anyone could give me.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

What is something you’ve always wanted to do?
Being a mason, I would love to eventually visit the pyramids.
