The Results

This 500,000 SF domestic parts supplier distribution hub includes an 80,000 SF mezzanine, and 49,000 SF procurement operations support office (LEED Gold certified). The office space is primarily an open floor plan providing a shared work environment. The office has separate areas for storage, mechanical, kitchen, and conference rooms., and supports 155 full-time employees.

The Consolidation Center is highly efficient in its use of water and energy. It sits on a 58.2-acre site restored with low maintenance grasses and plants. The stormwater runoff is redirected to a permanent pond that also serves as the sole water source for landscape irrigation. Other sustainable elements of the site include extensive use of light-colored concrete pavement and highly reflective roofing material to reduce heat island effect. Environmentally responsible construction material selection and construction waste management were important aspects of this project.

Our team broke ground in September 2006 and completed the project in April 2007. The building was finished in 8 months, a month ahead of schedule and on budget.
