Why or how did you get into construction?
In 2019, I left another career to move back to Ohio and joined a commercial roofing contractor. An opportunity presented itself to expand my experience in construction management and general contracting, and I haven’t looked back since. I love how the construction process forges relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders unlike any other industry.

Which project are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of every project, large or small, that has created many long-standing friendships within the community. After all, a building is just a shell without friends to fill it.

What is the best part of your job?
When I feel the excitement and appreciation radiate from the client at the end of a project, I know we did it right and made someone’s life better. Helping our neighbors thrive within our community, and beyond, will forever be the best part of my career.

What do you like about Central Ohio?
What’s not to love? The variety of the seasons and sports keeps me entertained year-round. I really appreciate how Columbus continues to have historic growth while retaining its history and traditions that have made it the city I love.

What is the best compliment anyone could give you?
That I’m honest.

How do you define Building Excellence?
Building Excellence is the intentional investment in our people so they may prosper, processes that deliver world-class experiences and community to create a sustainable society.

What are your hobbies?
I love riding motorcycles and kayaking when time allows. I’ll never turn down a trip to the bourbon trail in the fall. Most recently, my hobbies include building forts and new train layouts with my 3-year-old.

What is the most interesting place you’ve traveled and why?
Afghanistan. It’s not a recommendation, but it is definitely the most unique place I’ve traveled. More details will cost you a bourbon, or two!
